Hi My M-500t blew up last night. I was not pushing it or any thing. When I took the cover off it looks like some little, well I'm not sure how to explain as I don't know electronics but it looks stripped or at least the other ones that are not burnt and it is held up by two small wires coming out of the board. It is located right of center more towards the back. I check every connection and the only thing that I could find was possibly one strand of speaker wire touching the opposite. Any ideas.John D

i have a vintage pioneer spec 1 and spec 4 150w per channel i compared the m500t and the spec 4 the carver amp seemed to be good till around 150 watts then the amp acted like an old sony more in the midrange while compressing the bass the pioneer seemed to open the flod gates and crank the bass with richness not happy with the carver at all. wondering if maby i was overloading the circit i was getting power from in the house but 700w and 500w is sill less than a toaster and shouldnt have been a problem. john deane i will buy another pioneer spec4 i want a pair
